Animals should most definitely NOT be used for research. We are in the 21st century and with all our new techonology there should be alot of different ways we can test products and do research for scientific and medical purposes. Would you ever volunteer your house pet to be used as a lab rat? I doubt that, so why is it okay to take animals and do as we please with them? Its not okay and something should be done. It may not seem like torture to us but to them it is, how would you feel if you were the test subject of a science project not knowing what the outcome is going to be? Not a good feeling is it. We should all remember that animals have feelings as well as families just like humans.
